Host a Party

A day in the life at VIE at home A day in the life at VIE at home

  • VIE at home gave Kim the independence she needed

    Kim

"VIE has changed my life for the better in so many ways - here's my story ...

I joined as a VIE at home Consultant in 2008 - after being a customer and hosting a Party myself I knew I had to be a part of this great company!

It offered me so much, a great income, some fabulous freebies and a really good excuse to get the girls together for a free Make Over or Spa treatment with a glass of wine. But best of all, it gave me the opportunity to fit my job around my family. I could work as much or as little as I wanted with no pressure which was perfect as my youngest child was only three at the time.

I started off just doing a couple of Parties a month but by then I'd got the bug and gradually started to do more and more. It was easy to get Party bookings as there were products for everyone – Make Up, Bath & Body, Jewellery and more. Before I knew it, I was soon a top selling Consultant hosting 6-8 Parties per month and loving it! I could still fit the hours around the children but it gave me the chance to feel independent. And my family loved the extra pennies we had for treats – it took the pressure off us all and gave us the chance to have a lot more fun!

I soon had enough security to give up my other part-time job and have never looked back. I have a team of my own and still wake up every morning thinking how lucky I am to do something I love so much surrounded by such a great bunch of people. I would honestly recommend it to anyone – there is nothing to lose and everything to gain."

  • A very happy new Consultant

"I'd like to share my VIE story with you as it really is a brilliant company to be part of.

I joined on the 26th October 2011. I joined for many reasons, firstly I love the products I've bought at Parties before and being a Consultant had always been something I considered but never actually acted on. I qualified as a teacher in August and am currently supply teaching so was unsure how much work I would get, I also found my life changing following a split from a long term relationship (he didn't think I could do anything on my own) so I figured I'd get into something I could do for myself, prove I could do it and meet new friends; this is what's happened so far...

I met my Manager who told me about the company and what I would be doing if I joined; she was lovely and since that day she's been at the end of the phone whenever I've needed her. I signed up there and then, booked some training sessions with my Manager and got started.

My Kit arrived, including lots of products to use and try out. My mum was there when it arrived so my first sale was that day. From then on I did a couple of Parties, set up my online account and I was away. My first thoughts... fabulous! Nights in with a group of ladies, more Parties booked and some excellent friends made, oh and I made money too. I've also managed to continue playing basketball twice a week and teach every school day. It just shows how easy it is to fit around your daily life.

Not only do you have your Manager, you also have the rest of the team and Consultants everywhere that are happy to help (literally everywhere, I've spoken to a lovely lady in Scotland lots and I live in South West England). So far I have received a free perfume, free Make Up, recognition by my Manager with lovely products as rewards. And I have made so many new friends. Not only has this company given me the opportunity to earn some extra cash, the benefits of being rewarded for what I do, but it also has been the perfect way to show everyone I can do what I want when I put my mind to it...........my ex boyfriend was so wrong! Most importantly I love it!"

  • Teaching assistant by day... 'top make up lady by night!'

    Louise

"I work as a teaching assistant 20 hours a week, working with Y5/6 children including 'looked after children' (children in care). I'm married to Pete with 2 teenage daughters Katie 17 and Ellie 14 (who both love having a 24 hour Make Up counter at their disposal).

I originally joined VIE at home shortly after my 40th birthday when I thought I needed to be daring and take some risks. I was at a milestone in my life, I'd lost touch with a lot of the mums I used to chat to in the playground and VIE at home gave me the opportunity to make new friends.

Since working for VIE at home, I've met some lovely ladies, some of whom have joined my team and whom otherwise I would never have met. I am always late leaving as I end up chatting to someone (it certainly doesn't feel like I'm working). I can leave school feeling stressed out, go to a Party that evening and forget about what's happened during the day.

My confidence has grown over the last two years and I still have to stop myself as I can't believe I have the guts to go into a house with a room full of people I haven't met before and not worry about it. That's something a few years ago I don't think I would have felt comfortable doing. Even people I have known for years have had Parties and commented at how good I am at my job and how different and happy I seem.

My children and everyone I work with say I'm obsessed and once I get talking about VIE it's hard to stop. Even a girl in my class wrote me into her literacy work describing me as Mrs Hall the top Make Up lady."
